Ardglen Quarry
This is a hard rock basalt quarry located 10km outside of Murrurundi. It services the Gunnedah, Tamworth, Scone, Hunter Valley, and Newcastle region with various products. It has a rail siding that allows train loading for ballast deliveries throughout the North West of NSW.
Products include rail ballast, concrete aggregates, asphalt aggregates, precoated sealing aggregates, as well as capping, roadbase and gabion materials.
Muswellbrook Quarry
This is a sandstone conglomerate quarry providing high quality RTA roadbases to the Hunter Valley area.
Stockrington Quarry
This is a ridge gravel quarry that has supplied roadbase materials into the Newcastle and Hunter Valley markets for many years.
Buttai Quarry
This quarry is in the process of re-opening to supply roadbase to the Newcastle, Central Coast and Hunter regions.
Speers Point Quarry
This is a conglomerate quarry capable of producing roadbase and aggregates for the local market.
Diemars Quarry
This is a hard rock rhyodacite quarry that can produces products including concrete aggregates, gabion, roadbase and rock armour material.
In total Daracon Quarries can supply in excess of 1.2 million tonnes per annum of quarried materials.
Martins Creek Quarry
Daracon provide a range of products from Martins Creek quarry into the Newcastle and Hunter market. Specialised products are also supplied, and these include a blended pugmilled DGB20 – Stabilbase, and a heavily bound pavement – Stabilstone.
Stabilstone is a specialised product that conforms to RTA QA Specification RN73 – Heavily Bound Pavement Course using imported plant mixed Material. It is produced from Martins Creek Quarry and is a product that has been used successfully for many years in major projects around Newcastle, the Hunter and Central Coast regions.
