Scope of Work
Daracon was engaged to construct 3.7km of 4 lane road, stormwater drainage, electrical services and public utilities such as power, telephone and water.
Significant Achievements
- Detailed traffic switches were done often to provide for minimum impacts on 50,000+ ADT volume and maintaining safety of those working on site
- 25,000m2 of lean mix sub base 240mm thick was successfully hand placed by subcontractors De Martin Gasparini and achieved the tight time, cost and quality requirements of the specifications
- Several heritage boundary stones circa 1825 were identified along the route, were protected then carefully relocated
- Two large water mains (900mm and 500mm dia.) were re-laid across the site without incident or disruption
