- Major intersection with traffic lights built at Samantha Riley Drive
- Work included all services, drainage, landscaping and cycleway
Significant Achievements
- Work program constrained by commitment for early completion of Samantha Riley Drive interchange half way along work.
- Detailed traffic switches were done often to provide for minimum impacts on 50,000+ ADT volume and maintaining safety of those working on site.
- 25,000m2 of lean mix sub base 240mm thick was successfully hand placed by subcontractors De Martin Gasparini and achieved the tight time, cost and quality requirements of the specifications.
- Several heritage boundary stones circa 1825 were identified along the route, were protected then carefully relocated.
- Two large water mains (900mm and 500mm dia) were re-laid across the site without incident or disruption.
