Safety was of paramount importance and Daracon implemented a comprehensive system that was accepted by CNA and other clients.
- The work involved the placement, trimming and compaction of over 1,000,000 cubic metres of overburden material
- Coordination between mine and Daracon personnel was imperative to the smooth flow of the work
- Up to 30,000 cu m of overburden was delivered during each night shift by mine personnel, which was spread and finished in 900mm layers by Daracon
