The project is a Greenfield site, approx 20km from Muswellbrook and 10km from Denman. Daracon was awarded three main civil works packages.

• One Raw Water and one Pit Water Dam
• 8km long Rail Loop off mainline rail
• Mine Infrastructure Area /Northern Access Road Extension

• Achieving large scale civil construction of new infrastructure in highly environmentally sensitive surroundings
• Implementation and roll out of Xstrata SAFECOAL safety initiatives
• Operate a safe workplace achieving a LTI free construction with approx 150 strong workforce thus far
• Working to avoid or minimise any negative impact on the local community
• The delivery of the three works packages in a challenging timeframe
