A new rail loop was constructed to allow safe and smooth loading operations within the coal mine. Daracon supplied heavy earthmoving equipment that was prepared to coal mining standards.
Machines included:

• D9 Dozer
• 631 Scrapers
• Excavator (35 Tonne to 20 Tonne)
• Compactors
• Graders

• Barclay Mowlem required all plant items to have proven reliability and presentation
• Operators were given a 6 hour site induction to completely familiarise them with site conditions and procedures
• Environmental issues were rigorously enforced on site
• Special attention was given to the presentation of machines to ensure there were no oil leaks or excessive noise emissions.
• Daracon’s operators carried out daily inspections of their machines to make sure that they maintained the required standard and continued to perform reliably
