Our success began with Managing Director, David Mingay, a Civil Engineer with over 40 years experience whose philosophy of “Do what you said you would do” has built a reputation for trust and reliability.  This ethic is mirrored in every member of staff to ensure a consistent approach to all clients and projects.

We are a family business wholly owned by David and Susan Mingay who with six staff established Daracon in 1983 at Cessnock in the Hunter Valley.  From these humble beginnings we have grown to an organisation of over 700 people with offices at Wallsend (Head Office), Sydney, Mount Thorley and Gunnedah.  With a strong client base our annual turnover exceeds $250M.

Daracon’s financial capacity is confirmed by the rigorous financial assessments that have been satisfied as part of gaining pre-qualification with a variety of public and private clients (eg RTA roadwork to $80M and bridgework to $20M)

Daracon has developed a dedicated workforce with a broad range of expertise and a sincere customer focus.  All personnel update their skills and stay abreast of technology by participating in programmed training that covers a wide range of subjects, many of our Plant Operators are experienced users of GPS machine control that has proven value.
