The Roads and Traffic Authority has awarded Daracon Contractors Pty Ltd the contract for the construction of the Third Hunter River Crossing.  The Upgrading works involve the construction of two new bridges as well as the reconstruction of Pitnacree, Glenarvon and Flat Roads.  The construction site extends from Melbourne St in East Maitland to a new roundabout on Paterson Rd in Bolwarra.

Daracon is currently setting up site offices within the old sawmill on Pitnacree Rd and we expect to commence construction works soon. A community contact phone number will be supplied by Daracon shortly.
