Daracons commitment to sponsorship is an important part of our business and reflects our commitment to giving back to the communities and people that support us. Some examples of our community sponsorships are Health & Education, Charity, School & Community Fundraisers.

We are a major sponsor and active participant for the “Variety – the Children’s Charity” and, having been involved for more than a decade, has raised in excess of $500,000.00 for children in need. As we are a Newcastle based company with our employees and their families being a part of the local community, our association with the Newcastle Variety branch is something close to our hearts.

The culmination of our local fundraising is the week long Variety Bash through country New South Wales where we give away the proceeds of our fund raising to deserving schools and community groups. You might have seen our cars on the road, they are all pre- 1972 models and are especially themed to impress and excite children and adults alike. Daracon has two 1966HR Premier Holdens, one with a large CAT Dozer on top and the other themed as a “cowgirl” vehicle sporting a horse and saddle. 

The annual Bash is filled with frivolity and merriment and is truly enjoyed by all involved but the real buzz is to see the smiles on kids faces as we hand out the goodies. Last year we gave away over $300,000 in resources for country communities including school resources and in particular a neo-natal care unit for the Ambulance Service.
